Welcome to the Heart of Texas Labrador Retriever Club, Inc (HOTLRC). We are a group of Labrador enthusiasts organized in 1998 from all over Texas. Our members are involved in a variety of activities but share one passion - our Labradors. These activities range from competitions including conformation, hunt, tracking, agility, obedience, rally, dock diving and more - to breeders and pet owners.
We hold several events throughout the year that bring Labrador lovers from near and far to share in some fun. We have an annual Labrador Specialty show in November, conformation matches, working certificate tests for hunting ability, Canine Good Citizen (CGC) tests, health clinics, and events to further education. The Labrador Retriever is a versatile dog that enjoys participating in many activities. Besides competition events, they’re well-known not only as a working and service dog, but also for their die-hard loyalty and friendship to all.
If you love the Labrador, our club has a place for you. We welcome anyone who loves the Labrador Retriever and would invite you to reach out to us to learn more about the fun things we do with our dogs and to join our club of Labrador lovers. We are a sanctioned AKC breed club.

To provide educational programs that promote the health and training of the Labrador Retriever.
To promote the preservation of the versatile Labrador Retriever with a sound temperament and excellent health.
To encourage responsible breeding practices.
To encourage all Labrador Retriever breeders and owners to conduct themselves in an ethical and sportsmanlike manner, keeping in mind that their behavior reflects not only on themselves, but on the breed.
